Philips Sonicare Toothbrush September 3, 2010 Caz After doing a lot of research on SONIC toothbrushes and NOT wishing to pay the fortune that is asked for electric toothbrushes (don't understand why they are so expensive) I opted to buy a Philips Sonicare. I had an ordinary electric toothbrush prior to this.
After several weeks these are my findings. The toothbrush is fine, it does what it says, it makes your teeth feel great - much better than my old electric non sonic type. However, it does NOT make your teeth whiter. (Read several reviews stating they did - don't believe it). The design of the toothbrush is flawed in my opinion. The head screws into the base of the brush which holds the battery. However, if your human and saliva leaves your mouth when brushing your teeth, then the 'void' between the head and the battery gets wet and well icky, so now I find I have to unscrew the head and clean the area every time I use the brush. I don't beleive I secrete saliva more than normal so this really is a big pain. The new toothpastes which are 'foaming' add to this problem too.
The heads are EXPENSIVE. If it wasn't for the fact that Amazon sell at reduced prices - I would NOT have bought this toothbrush or the replacement heads.
When I told my dentist I had recently purchased a new SONIC toothbrush he surprised me by saying that ANY electric toothbrush will do the job, good dental hygeine is how often you clean your teeth, how long you clean your teeth for and how thoroughly. Cleaning between the teeth with floss is very important.
EVerything it should be. August 30, 2010 zerocool22 What can I say, it turned up and worked. It is everything it should be...result!!
philips HX7012 sonicare electric toothbrushes July 5, 2010 John R. Mulcahy (UK) Bought four of these about a year ago for all the family, haven't noticed any whitening of our teeth so far? My unit's start button has started to come away from the handle so not impressed with that and the toothbrush heads have gone up in price quite alot since last year? When l need another electric toothbrush l will probably try another make, as long as it is a sonic type, Braun maybe.
Good brush. June 22, 2010 Lacey (Kent.U.K.) Very good product.Small brush heads enabling a thorough clean even
around the back molars which are usually very hard to clean with a
regular size brush.
Does the job April 30, 2010 Ml MCLEAN (Bucks) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was unsure at first whether I was even ordering the right product. My tooth brush is Philips Sonicare Elite Pro but a much older model totally different code. I am pleased to say they were indeed the correct brushes. Works a treat.
