Amazon.co.uk I was amazed by the Philips ARCitec Rotary Shaver, it is a shaver that actually lives up to and even surpasses the marketing claims. It is simply the best shaver I have ever used.
Why? Philips state that it covers 50% more shaving area since it has a triple track on each of its heads, the result is the closest shave I have ever experienced. What surprised me even more was the ease with which it shaved so closely. I have reasonably tough stubble, previous shavers have required several passes over particularly tough areas like my chin and often they end up leaving the skin pretty sore as I try to grind out the stubble with multiple passes however, the Philips ARCitec Rotary Shaver takes it away on one pass. Even after 3 days growth I could use the Philips ARCitec Rotary Shaver with relative ease.
The other bonus for me is that I have quite an angular face and an Adams apple that gets in the way, that all spells for an awkward shave. The Philips ARCitec Shaver is the first shaver that is genuinely easy for me to use; not only does the whole head pivot in every direction but each individual shaving head flexes independently as well.
A few technical details: To clean the ARCitec Rotary Shaver you just flip the three heads up and rinse under the tap. It takes 1 hour to charge to get 21 days of shaving. It automatically selects the right voltage when you plug the charger in so it does not matter which country you are charging in. The charging stand has suction cups on which means it does not get knocked off on to the floor.
Looks: The Philips ARCitec Rotary Shaver is sleek in black and grey and employs some pretty cool carbon look-a-like material, probably the best looking shaver out I've seen this year. --Jeremy Paterson, Amazon.co.uk

A happy man with a smooth chin September 7, 2010 Mrs. S. W. Newns (Cornwall UK) We could not get a very small spare part for the nivea cool shaver so sent for this one.

review September 2, 2010 Mirka I was very disapointed with the seller. This shaver suppost to be a gift for my boyfriend for christmass but I recive this product after New year eve and I have to chase them up. I wasn't happy at all.
very disappointed August 28, 2010 kel bought this shaver 3 weeks ago and have given up on it have gone back to my old philips shaver which still gives a much closer shave , with the new shaver i need to shave after 12 hours , using my trusty old philips and with still using the original heads i can go approx 36 hours without having to shave again,
very very disapointed indeed
it's OK August 24, 2010 Iztok Maybe I didn't read web page carefull enough, but I expected to get a kind of case with it. But that's not a trouble, because I use it only at home. I still own a Philishave 655, an old model for which blades are more expesive as to buy a new one. And by this new model, blades are rotatin slower as at old one and therefore I have a feeling, it is not working as efficient as old one. It is working fine by sides, but on the neck, older is better. Sorry.
Rubbish - worst shaver I've ever had July 9, 2010 rhnb 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well the title says it all. My wife bought me this shaver for Christmas after my previous Phillips shaver that I'd had for about 12 years finally gave up. That one didn't have any of the wobbly bits, was a tad bulky, but it did do one thing - gave me a decent shave.
I've persevered with this thing for 6 months - I tell you, it's such a poor shave I've checked several times that I hadn't left some packing or something in the heads!!
The final straw was when I found out how much she paid for it. For those who say they're getting a good shave from this shaver then I'd love to see it. If someone from Phillips would like to come round and show me where I'm going wrong then they'd be most welcome. I'd get a better shave from the cats tongue than this. It's back to wet shaving for me.
Absolute rubbish - avoid like the plague.
There isn't a no stars options so I've had to give it one - and you don't know how hard that's been.
