The epilater takes out long hairs but does not given a smooth finish like shaving or waxing. It works but there is always rough stubble left.
Ingrowing hairs are a problem afterwards despite my usual gentle daily exfoliation with a body brush.
Maybe it was the way I was using it but it's not for me! It was not painful & did remove the hair but I like a really smooth finish.
My sensitive skin stayed with the 'plucked chicken' appearance for 2 weeks after I stopped using it. (Waxing or laser removel usually only leaves the skin inflamed for 1 day afterwards.)
The company selling it was excellent. It arrived on time, in perfect condition & no other problems with a fair price.

i had and epilator many years ago when they first became available and it was AGONY.this is so easy to use and nearly painless ,the results last for 10/7 at least its brilliant

Me, myself and I
I've been waxing my legs for 25 years now (yeah, that long) and I needed an alternative. Don't take me wrong: if you have the money and someone you feel comfortable with that can do it for you, nothing beats waxing (except possibly being born without any hair on your legs). However, if that is not an option for you, then an epilator is not a bad idea.
This is the first one I've ever had, so I can't compare with other products, but it's easy enough to use. Yes, it hurts--pulling your hair will always hurt--, but not as much as I had expected. It does take longer than professional waxing, but it's definitely less messy. MUCH less.
I have only used it twice now and I've found that sometimes it cuts the hair rather than pulling it from its root, but the same happens when you wax. I found it surpirsingly easy and effective when doing my underarms, and not that painful either (but then again, I have never shaved). That alone makes it good value for money!
I have not given it 5 stars because of the cut hairs, but it certainly does a good job for a lower range product.

I bought this product to replace an old epilator which was very awkward to use, especially the backs of my legs and behind the knees. The Braun is very simple to use and very efficient especially at those difficult to access areas. It works just like a razor, don't have to worry about holding it at the right angle as per my previous one. Didn't find it painful to use but supposed after using one for so long, just got used to it. An excellent product at an amazingly low price.

Although a budget epilator, this Braun does the job brilliantly. I cannot see any need to spend more on an epilator.
Much better than shaving - when the hairs eventually grow back they are fine and soft.
Many reviewers speak of the pain experienced when using epilators, so here was a bit of trepidation before first use. I needn't have worried - keeping skin taut when using this Braun for the first time causes nothing more than very mild discomfort at worst on underarms, legs no problem at all. Suspect subsequent use on finer regrowth will not produce any discomfort at all.
Great purchase!
